The members, present at the meeting, unanimously approved the proposal, with a 30-day approval period, to allow members not present to know about it, and contest the approval. If after the 30-day period and no one contested the idea, the current officers will serve another 2 years. Open until Sept 2nd, 2008.

The 'SAMAKANA' pledge of $100.00 is going to be personally delivered by Wevy Aragon to Maricel Aberin, President of SAMAKANA in Naguilian during Wevy's visit to the Philippines between February 12 to March 2, 2008. Thanks to the kindness of WevyAragon, she will also hand deliver another $100.00 to the Gusing Elementary School for building a roofed multi-purpose open room. Elsa Florendo, and husband Demy, were the US contacts regarding this project. Report on status next meeting
3. Another Donation- Late acknowledgementA $300.00 was also donated to the Union Institute of Naguilian during their Foundation Day, by Wevy Aragon, in behalf of Annak Ti Naguilian. DISCUSSIONSTATUS
1. Financial ReportSee hand out .Quarterly Report
2. Membership driveAll funds for Annak come from membership dues and fund raising efforts. This may not sound pleasant to some, but membership renewals will be mailed before the end of the year. Because of several projects being planned, we are back to fund raising activities. For 2008, we will try cruises.  On-going.
3. Medical/dental MissionThe background of the program was discussed. Before the meeting we already know that Mila Estacion Viernes has been assigned to Lead the Medical/dental mission in 2009 in Naguilian. The Annak Ti Naguilian-Wellness & Health Program (ATI-WHP) will also be assigned to Mila, if she agrees. Of course, Annak will have her full support. We will take care of donations, supplies, and manpower. We will also involve Suisun City through Aurelia Joven. On-going
4. "SAMAKANA"Please see the Home Page for the write-up of SAMAKANA. This project has been presented to Annak, and as a result, we pledged $100.00 for the coming year. There is a possibility that Annak will be donating at least this amount on a yearly basis, but members will have to vote on this. Revisit next year
5. Gusing School: Open Room ProjectThis is an appeal by the Gusing Elementary School through Elsa Florendo and husband. A multi-purpose open room is badly needed to protect the children from the scorching sun and from the rain during off school. Annak has agreed to donate another $100.00 for this purpose.  Revisit next meeting
6. Global Reunion-2009Although this is not until 2009, we are fully aware that it is but 15 months away. We differed discussion until next meeting. Until next meeting.
7. 2008 Cruise

Advantages were discussed to offering Cruises to everyone. One of which was that we can sell it to practically anyone, to our Kailians, coworkers, on the internet, etc. Annak will profit if we can sell at least 8 cabins. That is 16 adults. We hope to sell more than that.

There were 3 venues presented: Mexico, Alaska, and Mediterranean Cruise. Annak settled on a 10-day Alaskan Cruise SF roundtrip in September 14, 2008. It is $200.00 cheaper than in August, and we in the Bay Area will not have to fly, which will bring our per diem cost to about $120.00. This includes the hotel, food 5x a day, entertainment, etc. Please watch for our fliers. Minimum cost per person $1249.85. This includes the cruise, taxes and port fees, and fuel supplement. We plan to book on February 1st, 2008. A $450.00 deposit per person is required to book. For those who have not cruised before, now is your chance to see the unending spectacular scenery of Alaska, with your Kakailians. According to Norma Hufana Malimban, our Treasurer, this cruise is a lot of fun. She has been to this cruise in Alaska before but not from SF.

 On-going
8. Profits from the fund raising activitiesAll profits from fund raising efforts will be donated to Annak, and subsequently be donated to Naguilian via various projects.  -
